This workshop will include general information about mental illness, the prevalence of common disorders, and the myths that contribute to stigma. We will discuss what defines a mental illness, how it develops, as well as some jargon-free signs that someone might be experiencing mental health problems. Lastly, we will address stigma, how we can play a part in combatting it, and how it may be internalized.
