Description: Perfectionism is very common in high achievers, and Harvard is full of perfectionists surrounded by other perfectionists. In some ways, it’s what helps them achieve. But after a point, it canbecome very limiting and hard to change, even when people know it holds them back.
Hugh Kearns will help us deal with this problem. His workshop, which emphasizes a selective perfectionism approach, will cover subjects such as:
- Recognizing perfectionistic behaviors
- The pros and cons of it
- How it impacts your research
- Understanding the psychology behind it
- Specific strategies
- Coping with mistakes and setbacks
