DESCRIPTION:<p>	Simmons University's Center for Excellence in Teaching (CET) and the HMS/HSDM Office for Postdoctoral Fellows is co-hosting "Teaching in Action" on Monday, August 3 from 1-3pm.</p><p>	<strong><a data-url="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/teaching-in-action-tickets-113010258726" href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/teaching-in-action-tickets-113010258726" target="_blank" title="">REGISTER</a></strong><br><strong>Description:</strong> Are you interested in learning new teaching techniques based on learning science? Are you looking for advice on professional growth, the academic job search, and transitioning to a teaching career? <br>This interactive program is designed for early career faculty, postdocs, and graduate students. </p><p>	The first part of this program will consist of four teaching technique demonstrations by Simmons faculty, followed by a faculty panel discussion providing advice on transitioning to a teaching career and advice for new faculty.</p><p>	<strong>Workshop facilitators</strong>: The facilitators of this program are Jennifer Herman (CET), Ruthann Thomas (CET), Cherie Ramirez (Chemistry/Physics), Matt Schwartz (Biology), and Lisa Brown (Nutrition).<br><em>This workshop is co-sponsored and co-hosted with the Simmons University Center for Excellence in Teaching.</em></p>
