DESCRIPTION:<p>	<strong><a data-url="https://cure-mentor-training-1-20-22.eventbrite.com" href="https://cure-mentor-training-1-20-22.eventbrite.com" target="_blank" title="">REGISTER</a></strong><br><strong>Workshop Description: </strong>This first session invites workshop participants to reflect on the many roles and impact of mentorship.  We will be joined by Dennis Jones, PhD, Professor of Pathology &amp; Laboratory Medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine. He has mentored numerous students and has received a number of awards to support his research throughout his career. Please be prepared to participate in the discussions and turn your cameras on when possible</em><br><strong>*Certificate of Completion:</strong> Attend Jan 20 (Introduction to Mentoring) <u>and</u> Apr 14 (Addressing Diversity &amp; Inclusion) workshops, plus at least any two others from the series.<br><strong>Series Description:</strong> The Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and UMass Boston Research Education Core (REC) Program, in collaboration with the HMS Office of Postdoctoral Fellows, are offering a series of mentor training workshops focused on mentorship development and shared practice for current, past, and prospective mentors. Emphasis will be placed on exploring your mentoring style, inclusive mentorship practices, and providing guidance to junior mentees (such as undergraduates). Certificates of completion* will be provided to participants who complete the mentor training series.</p>
