DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>What</strong>:&nbsp;This hands-on workshop will cover the basics of data visualization using <a href="https://seaborn.pydata.org/">Seaborn</a>, a library for the Python programming language. We will cover how to create plots using numeric and categorical data, as well as the creation of multi-panel figures for data exploration and presentation.</p><p><strong>Why</strong>: Seaborn is a great data visualization choice because it provides a high-level, user-friendly interface that allows users to create visually appealing and informative statistical graphics with minimal code. Its wide range of built-in plot types, polished default themes, and flexible customization options make it a powerful tool for both data exploration and data-driven reporting.</p><p><strong>How</strong>:&nbsp;This is a free&nbsp;<strong>1 hour&nbsp;</strong>hands-on workshop.</p><p><strong>Where</strong>:&nbsp;Online via Zoom (link provided upon registration).</p><p><strong>Who</strong>: This seminar is open to all Harvard affiliates from&nbsp;all disciplines, and the public research community.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Prerequisites</strong>:&nbsp;Attendees don’t need much experience with Python, though a basic familiarity with the language will be helpful. We’ll want to get started right away, so please make sure to install JupyterLab or Jupyter Notebook (<a href="https://jupyter.org/install">https://jupyter.org/install</a>) prior to arrival. Alternatively, attendees are welcome to use Google Colab (<a href="https://colab.research.google.com/">https://colab.research.google.com</a>) if they have existing Google accounts.
