On behalf of the staff of the HMS/HSDM Office for Postdoctoral Fellows (OPF), welcome to our website!

Our Mission

The HMS/HSDM Office for Postdoctoral Fellows works to enhance the development and experience of the postdoctoral community. Through a combination of administrative initiatives and educational activities, the HMS/HSDM Office for Postdoctoral Fellows actively assists postdoctoral fellows in obtaining the skills necessary to pursue both academic and non-traditional careers in science and beyond. By supplementing the training received in the laboratory with career development guidance and ancillary research skills instruction, the office seeks to maintain the institutional reputation of recruiting and training the best biomedical researchers and scientific leaders of tomorrow.

Office Hours
The Postdoc Office is open during regular University business hours, M-F, 9:00am - 5:00pm.There is a lounge area for postdocs to relax and drop-ins are always welcome! We are located in Gordon Hall, Room 006. Click here for a map to the office.

Career Counseling
The Director of the OPF offers 1-on-1 career counseling for quad postdocs. Services include CV and cover letter critiquing, career exploration, and career guidance.


OPF Lending Library
books.gif The Postdoc Office has a lending library of career resources for Quad Postdocs! The library is located in the Postdoc Office Lounge in Gordon Hall 006 - stop by anytime during regular business hours.
