Mentor Training Program for Postdocs and Grad Students

Description: Effective communication is key to an overall positive and beneficial mentoring relationship for both mentors and mentees. In this workshop, participants will discuss strategies for establishing and maintaining open lines of communication with their mentees throughout their research experience.

Participants are encouraged to sign up to be DF/HCC Student Program Mentors during Summer 2020

The three-part curriculum will provide mentorship training in the following areas:
April 23 - Introduction to Mentoring and Aligning Expectations
April 30 - Creating and Implementing Effective Short-Term Research Projects for Research Mentees
June 30 - Assessing and Maintaining Effective Communication with Research Mentees

Participants are strongly encouraged, but not required, to commit to attending all three sessions.
