Description: This workshop will consist of two parts:
Managing Up - This workshop will explore the relationship between trainees and research mentors/supervisors with the goal of providing strategies for improving communication and interpersonal interactions.
Management 101 - This session will provide an overview of common management concepts that are not often taught in a lab environment, such as what to look for in a new hire, how to motivate your staff and how to manage conflict.
