Mentor Training Series: Effective Communication

April 25 Description: In this session, we will discuss strategies for improving communications between mentors and mentees as well as approaches to providing open and constructive feedback. We will follow up with an optional Thursday session (held in-person) to workshop individual cases.

Series Description:  The Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and UMass Boston Research Education Core Program, in collaboration with the HMS/HSDM Office of Postdoctoral Fellows, are offering a series of mentor training workshops focused on mentorship development and shared practice for current, past, and prospective mentors. Emphasis will be placed on exploring your mentoring style, inclusive mentorship practices, and providing guidance to junior mentees (such as undergraduates). All sessions run from 12:00-1:00pm
