Workshop Description: This seminar starts with an overview of various components of a job offer, including base salary, bonus, stock, benefits, and other details that could be provided as part of the “total package”. Details will be provided regarding how to perform research to identify salary ranges for a given field/role in order to inform negotiation strategy for the salary as well as total compensation details. Different approaches for salary negotiation will be discussed as well as offer acceptance timeframes. This seminar will focus mainly on non‐academic positions, but some advice will be given to provide insight on planning for and negotiating academic offers also.
