Career Pathways for Basic Scientists Interested in Clinical and Translational (C/T) Research

Course description: The Career Pathways for Basic Scientists Interested in C/T Research session offers basic scientists an overview of the diverse career options in C/T research. This four hour session will offer an opportunity for participants to hear a keynote expert describe a successful career trajectory and to present questions to a diverse panel of PhD experts about their C/T research career choices.

Session goals ensure that participants will: 1. Understand the spectrum of clinical/translational research (T1-T4). 2. Understand career options within C/T research for basic scientists.

Target audience: This panel session is designed for PhDs and PhD candidates interested in C/T research. Also includes MDs with basic science, but with no clinical experience.
